Canadian Startup Visa (SUV) Program was initially introduced in 2013 by IRCC to attract skilled entrepreneurs from all over the world and encourage them to bring their business, expertise, and experience to Canada. The Canadian start-up ecosystem provides a thriving environment for start-ups in different stages of growth. The Start Up Program is attractive because it does not need a minimum investment by the immigrant, there is no net worth requirement, the immigrant can choose to live anywhere in Canada and needs a minimum band score of 5 on IELTS test or a minimum CLB level 5 in either English or French.
To qualify for the program however, you need a lot of know-how. The most common perception is you just need an immigration lawyer to go through this program, which is true in case of some start-ups. But, for many early-stage start-ups this is not the case. There is a lot of background work to be done to make them ready to apply for the Canadian SUV Program. What we provide early-stage start-ups with is the know-how and advice on many different issues that might make the path towards success a nightmare if you do not know the nuances and complexities of proper preparation.
